Wholesome DIY Dog Treats – Savory Bites Your Pup Will Love!

Creating your own homemade dog treats is not only a fun and rewarding experience, but it also gives you complete control over what goes into your furry friend's snacks. It’s a wonderful way to avoid preservatives and fillers often found in store-bought treats.

First, we have "Peanut Butter and Oats Dog Biscuits". To make these, combine two cups of flour, half a cup of rolled oats, one tablespoon of dry milk, and a quarter cup of cornmeal in a large bowl. Then, mix one cup of peanut butter, one cup of water, and one egg in another. Slowly incorporate the dry components into the wet ones, lightly stirring until it forms a dough. Roll it out, cut into shapes, and bake for 20 minutes at 375°F.

Our second recipe is the "Cheesy Bites". Melt two cups of shredded cheese with one cup of milk, add two cups of whole wheat flour and an egg, then mix well. Once a dough forms, cut into bite-sized pieces and bake for 15 minutes at 375°F.

Lastly, for a protein punch, we have "Chicken Liver Biscuits". Puree half a pound of chicken liver, then mix with two cups of wheat flour and an egg. After mixing thoroughly, flatten the dough, create your preferred shapes by cutting, and then place them in the oven to bake for 15 minutes at a temperature of 400°F.

Remember, these treats are supplementary and shouldn't replace a balanced diet. It's always advisable to consult with your vet prior to adding any new food to your pet's meal plan. Have fun with your baking!
