Microneedling.
Also called collagen induction therapy or micro-channeling, this treatment involves using ultra fine needles to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin. Use of needles to affect health and esthetics has been around in China and India for millennia and the modern version of microneedling began in the west in the early 1900's. Current research shows microneedling to be an effective treatment for reducing fine lines, acne, scars, hyperpigmentation, and minor skin laxity.
