When you join one of my classes, I can't help but share my enthusiasm for pottery – my absolute favorite art form and pastime. Let me give you a condensed version:

Pottery, like any art, demands skill and practice. The journey and the discoveries along the way make it uniquely exciting. I'm still growing and learning in the world of pottery, just like every other potter out there. Witnessing your finished piece is thrilling – everything looks cool, and suddenly, there's an irresistible urge to create more! Each pot is an experiment: how will the glaze turn out, are the decorations as envisioned? The results prompt you to try again and dive deeper into the process.

This excitement transports me to another realm. When I'm in the studio, nothing else matters, and my hands are probably too dirty to touch my phone even if I wanted to.

As evident in my work, I use a pot as a canvas for other art. While standard watercolor paints won't cut it, discovering the perfect mix of materials is half the joy.

People often ask me about my favorite form to throw – it's mugs. Why? Because most mornings, I pour myself a cup of coffee, settle into my favorite armchair, and reflect. I usually sip from my latest mug creation or one from another artist I've recently acquired. Using pottery is the ideal way to appreciate every detail. There's something magical about that quiet daily moment, holding a mug and contemplating the emotions it evokes.

If you're intrigued by how pottery has enriched my life, consider joining a class or reaching out to connect!
